Do you work in a restaurant or bar?

I just observed a confusing situation at a bar. You see,  a tourist walked in and asked for a “menú”. While they asked for the “menú” in Spanish, I am certain they wanted la carta. Remember, “menu” is a false friend for us. Many times, tourists don’t know the difference between carta and menú. It is always a good idea to show them the carta in case that is  what they are looking for!
